My Song For 2014

Last year my song was ‘Inner Ninja’ which seemed appropriate. Especially this part:

It’s a feeling that you get in your lungs when you run
Like you’re runnin’ outta air and your breath won’t come
And you (uh) wheezin’, gotta keep it movin’
Find that extra (uhn) and push your way through it.

There was a lot of wheezin’ in my life last year.

Finding my word for 2014 was easy but it took me awhile to find my song. Then I sort of stumbled across it one day as I surfed the net because I am beyond easily distracted and the moment I heard it I knew this was the one because, well, it’s perfect. Everything about it, from the lyrics to the beat to the dancing (also, Minions, hello!) makes me feel happy and that’s what I want for 2014–for me, my family, and my friends.

To be happy.

What’s your song for 2014?

Yes! Yes! Yes! I love it! I am just now seeing this post because well, Sharon, I’m a slacker and on January 1st I had some stuff going on.

    Happy New Year! :D

I am glad we like the same music! It is impossible to be anything, but happy, when listening to this song and by listening, of course I mean dancing.. or car dancing.. or chair dancing because it is also impossible not to dance while hearing this song!

Oh Sharon, I adore that song!!! I’ve never done a song before, but I may go have to steal, ehhem, borrow this one from you. The second we heard it, Q and I both started dancing.

I had not known one needs a word and a song for the year. Is it too late for 2014 for me? I’m guessing the people dressed up in the blue coveralls costumes were the minions. Very cute. Best of 2014 to you and yours, and that you find that huge box of improvements.
