I had always planned on doing a meet this year. In my head it was going to be January because then it would be two full years I’ve been skating which seemed like a good point to try.
But as we all know the best laid schemes of mice and men go often awry.
I’ll be skating in my first meet this Sunday.
There will be no skin suits involved.
THAT is the best news I’ve heard in a long time! The meet, I mean, not the no skinsuit–you know you’d rock a skinsuit. I’ll be working (timer) a local short track meet on Saturday, so I’ll take everything I see and learn (especially the “fast”) and channel it your way for Sunday!
