Do you know what I asked for for Mother’s Day? Do you?
A gym membership.
It’s like I don’t even know me anymore
p.s. The “for for” in that first sentence looks weird, doesn’t it?
p.p.s. I have the best backyard ever. Our new patio furniture is perfect for passing out in after I do sprints.

That is a GREAT gift! The gym is my favourite way to get “me time”. I love the physical benefits, the endorphins and JUST BEING ALONE. It’s my best thinking time.
Super idea, I hope you get it
Hint on a gym….you can get a membership at the Sheridan College gym. Last time I worked there is was something like $100 a year…just sayin. You don’t get all the services like at an expensive gym, but you get a towel, a locker, there are showers and they have all the equipment you might want plus a running track outside.
Thanks Sue! Good to know! We’re going with a pay-per-go sort of thing with the rec centre only because I know that in the summer I won’t get there at all. Kids and all that
I think a gym membership is a great idea. It makes them think of what you want and need. Just for yourself. And that is one of the hardest parts to remember when mothering becomes so much a part of you that the other pieces can get squished. But follow all workouts with evening wine. For balance.
I like the evening wine idea
I think it is a good gift, one that allows you to take better care of you, and every mom needs that.
Yes. We have a gym in our basement but I want to really increase my lower body strength. Thanks for dropping by Hollie.
HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Sorry.
I think that’s a great gift. But, we know I’m a bit crazy…
I love that you have a bit of “the crazy” it makes you fun!
A gym membership? Sharon, WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU? I asked for wine.
The wine is just a given in my house
At least you know what you want, I came up with nothing.
Really? Not anything?
Yep, nothing.
Gift card to Chapters? Camping gear?
Ugh! Want to know what I asked for for Mother’s Day (it feels weird even typing for for) … nothing and my husband isn’t even here for mother’s day. It’s like I’m a shiftworker’s wife all over again. A gym membership… hmmm… you’re scaring me
That sucks Maija! You need to treat yourself somehow.
