100 Push Ups: Week 5 Again

It’s actually Week 5 again, again because I repeated Week 5 last week as well. Week 5 is turning into my evil nemesis. It should be Weak 5 with the way it taunts me.

The theme to 100 Push Up and 200 Squat Challenge is:

Who knew throwing a ball could hurt so much.

Part of my weekend was spent throwing a baseball with Hockey Playing Son. But not just gently lobbing it back and forth. Nope, he wanted to really practice so we were going for the long throws across a field. This meant a lot of me really having to put some muscle into the throws and a lot of chasing balls that had gone awry.  When my kids want to play something with me I stick with it until they decide we’re finished because I know there will come a day when throwing a ball with your mom is no longer cool. So basically I spent two hours pitching, bending, chasing, dodging and catching.

My right arm and side felt it the next day but it was totally worth it.

I won’t even give a recap which was similar to last week’s only I did finish but I couldn’t Max out at 30 or more which means I’m back to do it again.

There were no squats last week due to hip and knee stuff going on which is now completely under control. But there were sprints – four days of them. Three outside running and one inside on the elliptical. And I’m slowly improving the number of sprints I can do without wanting to pass out.

On a good note I got the gym membership so Imma bout to mix it up.
